Fundamentals and Balance

If it was not for the balance, the world would have been absurd.

I remember reading a quote from “The Good Quote” years ago about balance. It said -if you party for a day, bring yourself to action and sit back doing nothing. If you have been extremely busy with professional life, do something to compensate your business of your professional doings with personal time.

Well. I am aware about the authors of Instagram and there statements of what to do and what not do. But these words stuck me today again. A stereotypical saying extreme of anything is not good. While all of this sounds so right, it also is completely opposite to follow it.

The pattern of actions. As if the life was running on a loop of cycle. Where the same scenario repeats and we make the same decisions. Also, land up to the same consequences and call it a pattern. I am beginning to think that it is just that we have not figured out the pattern and have not provided the closure. Hence, the loop exists.

There was a civilization which proved the law of diminishing marginal utility. Where they ate too much of meat until they were fed up with it and landed them to take a break.

Pont is if one had an understanding of how the balance works. Things would just start looking beautiful without loosing its value. It goes same with people, relations, food, seasons and add everything else to the list.

A burnout, a mental break down, routines, growth and such so many aspects we are trying to address. And maybe at the same time. Without balances of action, how will we ever figure out any of it. Which makes each case affecting other and creating a disaster.

Breaking down into steps what one can do to take a step against creating a balanced life.

  1. Define the problems: When everything feels alright is when I see things falling apart. There will be patterns. There will be things which only an individual will know about themselves. Can you define them ?
  2. Divide your life: It is always divided at macro level as professional life and personal life. Can you divide it any further ? Pick four things atleast. a few things suggestions (Religion, physical health, mental health, business, studies, new learnings).
  3. Address each aspect: Jot down the things you are doing presently with each aspect and against it note what you want to do. This will make everything crystal clear and will give better insights into your self.
  4. Action: It really does take courage to write down each aspect, but execution takes it to another level.

The above steps will help in assigning the priority and one will know exactly where the focus frequency is extremely high and how it can be balanced.

Conclusion: Bigger things like being broke, insecurities, hit by self-doubts and self-esteem scenario are such common issues in the growing era. Where everything just turns out to be yet another trend and sustains till the topic remains hot. Being influenced by the content is one thing and utilizing the same where applicable is another.
